The shifting seasons always has us jacked into busy mode behind the scenes here at Woodcock Bros. September is our busiest events month of the year, bringing us Dust Off Your Kilt, NY Fall Beer Fest, Cocktoberfest and Barks & Brews to name just a few \u2014 not to mention Buffalo Beer Week and all the events and tastings scheduled for that regional celebration. In spite of the busyness of the month, September also brings us down to earth, literally, in the form of one of beer’s core ingredients \u2014 hops.<\/p>\n

September is wet hop season. For <\/span>the last <\/span>several years <\/span>we’ve brewed <\/span>wet hop IPA’s <\/span>consistently <\/span>using NYS grown hops. The <\/span>effect of using <\/span>hops directly <\/span>grown in our <\/span>region gives off a <\/span>subtly <\/span>unique flavor <\/span>profile that can only be experienced utilizing the wet hop method of brewing – <\/span>i.e. only using freshly harvested hops driven right to the brewery for a scheduled brew day. This year we were able to acquire <\/span>Michigan Copper and Centennial <\/span>wet hops both for a 100% NYS grown <\/span>Michigan Copper IPA <\/span>and a 100% NYS grown <\/span>Centennial IPA. Look for these <\/span>seasonal brews in late <\/span>September. <\/span><\/p>\n

September also <\/span>brings <\/span>us <\/span>draft and cans of our <\/span>traditional style <\/span>M\u00e4rzen – Cocktoberfest. Draft <\/span>available now, cans coming mid-<\/span>September!<\/span><\/span>At the end of October, at our annual Halloween party we’ll be releasing our winter seasonal fan favorite Stiff Mitten on Draft and in cans. Details on this party and release coming soon in our ‘<\/span>events tab<\/a><\/span>‘.<\/span><\/p>\n

This <\/span>November marks our 7th, count ’em, 7TH anniversary. Our <\/span>anniversary <\/span>party this year is <\/span>shaping <\/span>up to be just as <\/span>epic as ever. We’ll <\/span>be tapping <\/span>special limited <\/span>release drafts, and <\/span>possibly a <\/span>big, special, (super hoppy) can release. *wink*<\/span><\/span>The last month of 2019 will bring our customers and fans lots of <\/span>new, fun and delicious brews pumping out of both locations. Our Ugly Sweater Party will <\/span>be rocking as <\/span>usual, and there may be a few <\/span>can releases in the <\/span>works. <\/span><\/p>\n
